Message I found that some "uninformed" MORON jacked the front of my car up by the radiator support, instead of the factory jacking points.
This totally screwed up the hood / fender alignment and grill panel / hood alignment.

I had to remove the Air Inlets, Condensor fan, Oil Cooler and the Hood Latch brace to get access to the bent lower support.

I was finally able to "pursuade" the lower core support back into it's original position after fighting with it and the upper supports for hours. The Hood Latch brace also had to get straightened as well.

Even after the above items were corrected, I still had to fabricate aluminum shims to fit between the fender and side supports at the upper fender attach bolts.

I also had to fabricate aluminum shims for the the center "grill" panel for it to be perfectly aligned with the front edge of the hood.
The shims are bonded to the center panel using Hobby Shop Gap filling CA, so whenever the panel is removed or reinstalled, the shims stay with the panel.

All in all it took several days, and a heck of a lotta work to get everything back into alignment just because of a mistake made while jacking the car off the ground...
You gotta watch those guys like a hawk!

Whenever I see a Z parked now I tend to look at the facia, grill and hood alignment, to see if it's raised in the center, or if the hood front edge is exposed...
